The PF-9 only features 6 main components and many of the parts are found in the P-11 and the P3AT series handguns as well. The concept behind the PF-9 was to take the favorite features of the Kel-Tec P11 and the Kel-Tec P3AT and blend them into a single stack 9mm handgun that would be a perfect fit for the concealed carry market. Introduced to the market in 2006 by Kel-Tec, the PF-9 was marketed as "thinnest and lightest 9mm pistol ever mass produced."
